There was a man named Nicodemus, a religious leader in the time of Christ, who had spent his entire life following the rules of his religion. When he met Jesus, Jesus told him, John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

In a religious setting it seem that some people have doubts whether they are worthy of being saved. They wonder whether God loves them because he seems so far away. Another way of looking at the same question is that people would say there is no way a person can be saved. They are too uglly, bad, sinful etc to be saved. There is no God that could overlook sin and provide a way of salvation. But the wonderful news is that God is provide a way and we do not have to doubt at all that this is possible
