Taft was not similar to Roosevelt in most ways. Taft was not a progressive, but he did also not put up a fight toward Roosevelt's programs. The country saw little change or growth during Taft's administration.

∙ 9y agoRoosevelt was extremely aggressive, pushing for reform across many areas of the government. Taft, while still a progressive, did not actively push to further Roosevelt's agendas. This lead to a split in the Republican Party.
