From 2006, young Queenslanders have to stay at school until the end of year 10, or until they turn 16. They will then have to keep studying at school or TAFE, or obtain full-time work, until they turn 17. It's called "Learning or Earning"...
A teenager can start work at the legal age of 14 and 9 months although there has been some discussions of 14 and one month. I have friends who are 14 and 3 months and they have been working for 4 months i think you just have to have your parents agree if you under the limit by a couple of months.
I looked around and i had a meal at McDonald's and I got a job there and they can make exception's but I was 14 and 5 months. They let me in but they preferred and ask for the age of at least 14 1/2
No more than 4 hours on a school day, and no more than 8 hours on a non school day. during a school week, no more than 12 hours can be worked and in a non-school week, no more than 32 hours worked. Also, a 14 year old cannot work between the hours of 10pm and 6am. You should have a look at this website, it will have everything that you need to know :)
