Australasia is a regional name that includes both New Zealand and Australia, and Oceania is an even broader regional name encompassing much of the Pacific.

Polynesia is a rather more specific regional name, based upon ethnography, and New Zealand, Hawaii, and Easter Island form the bounds of the triangle of Polynesia.

Above are the geographic groupings. In addition are the alliances of finance, sporting, military and so on, and various treaty agreements.
