Best Answer

Mg + 2HCl = MgCl2 + H2

Hi,

from above reaction u may require Mg- 24gm, Hcl-73gm

and u get MgCl2-95gm, and H2-2gm

In above case Mg is your limiting component. for complete conversion of Mg use HCl in excess.

It depends on the acid's concentration. The simple one, with non-consentrated H2SO4, balances like this:

Mg + H2SO4 → MgSO4 + H2

And it is inorganic by the way ;D

Mg H2SO4 MgSO4 H2?

Mg+H2SO4---> MgSO4+H2 is already a properly balanced equation .Magnesium (Mg) + sulphuric acid (H2SO4) will give MgH2SO4 (a corresponding metallic salt) + hydrogen gas.

How many moles Mg react with 0.20 moles H2SO4?

If you want all the H2SO4 to react, you first need a balenced chemical equasion. Mg + H2SO4 --> MgSO4 +H2 Then you calculate using mole ratios moles is expressed as n. n Mg/1 =n H2SO4/1 n Mg= 0.2mol It's the same because there are no coefficients in front of the reactants.

What is the observation when H2SO4 reacts with MgCl2?

The chemical reaction for Magnesium (Mg) in Sulfuric acid (H2SO4) is given by the equation: Mg + H2SO4 ---> MgSO4 + H2 gas. The products of this reaction are Magnesium Sulfate (MgSO4, a salt) and elemental Hydrogen (H2, a gas), as shown in the equation.
