Answer
Seniors come in all shapes and sizes with all levels of fitness, so it’s hard to make generalizations. Like all Disney guests, they should be prepared to walk 4-8 miles in 7 hours, day after day. If that seems too daunting, consider a renting a wheelchair or an electric cart (Disney calls them convenience vehicles) to get the most from your stay. If you rent a chair or cart at one park, just show your receipt to get free ones at other parks the same day.
Touring in the fall or spring is easier on most people, rather than fighting the crowds in the height of summer heat. When making reservations, request rooms closer to restaurants and transportation. Some resorts popular with seniors include the Yacht & Beach club Resorts, Disney Swan and Disney Dolphin, the Boardwalk Inn. The Contemporary resort is on the monorail. The Grand Floridian & Polynesian resorts are popular but require a lot of walking.
Wherever you stay, be sure to break for lunch & a siesta. And enjoy a few of the Behind the Scenes tours!
