It means essentially the same thing as the current 'in-vogue' phrase, "It is, what it is." It means the law is not negotiable. It may not seem just in some cases but it is, above all else, the law.
This is how my teacher explained it:
(1)Start with 0 and 3
multiply by 2 for each consecutive term.
You do : 0, 3, 3x2, 6x2, 12x2, 24x2,….
to get : 0, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48,….
(2) add 4 to each and...
