I recently had a burning feeling on the back of my right hand too, but directly after I noticed a Golf ball sized purple lump appear which scared me. It appeared I had burst a vein in my hand. ( there are many diff. kinds and sizes of blood vessels that can break) It happened again 2 weeks later but this time on my arm. This time I went to the ER. My blood pressure was 170 over 120....way to high. I am seeing a couple specialists about it this week.
For me, the burning sensation was my veins bursting I guess. I would advise you to be aware of anything like I mentioned, and get it checked out. Good luck!
If you have been to the beach lately and come in contact with seaweed, it could have been infected with something pronounced as "Lingbia." You shouldn't really be worried about it as it will go away in a while.
---- I've never heard of "lingbia," but this may resemble a regional dialect or a slang term for something else.
Causes of burning finger can include many things. Anxiety or hyperventilation can cause tingling of the hands/fingers. Neuropathy from many different causes (Diabetes, sarcoid, tuberculosis, etc) can cause burning and tingling sensations in the hands and feet. Nerve entrapment syndromes (vertebral discs, brachial plexopathies, carpal or ulnar tunnel syndromes) can have similar symptoms as those described above with burning or lancinating pain in the extremities. Multiple sclerosis, strokes, and migraines can have atypical presentations that can cause different sensory abnormalities. Seizures can also begin with abnormal sensations. In some instances, myocardial infarctions present only as tingling or numbness in an arm or hand. Some heavy metal poisonings, such as lead, can also cause strange sensations.
I would recommend discussing these symptoms with your personal physician if they are bothersome or continue for a prolonged period of time.
