CAn a stint be put in the pancreas?

Answer:
yes a stint can be put in a pancreas i have had three already. sometime they work and make you feel better and sometimes they dont.

I found this question while checking the net on my own situation. I have had 27 stints in my pancreas since October of 2005. On average because of the thickness of my secretions they last between 7 and 10 weeks. When they clog I become very sick and can hold nothing down. After the stint is replaced I am able to eat and keep down meds. It has been a long and painful process but it is much better than my pancreas digesting itself and dying as a result. If your gastro doc says you need a stint, get one but make sure he explains what to look for in your case as to it coming out or becoming clogged.
