yes, Adderall is composed of amphetamine salts, dextroamphetamine and l-amphetamine and methamphetamine would be part of the amphetamine family so both would show up on a urine screening as amphetamines.
Yes, but it depends on the specific chemicals the test is checking for, ie, how many 'panels' the test is made with. Adderall is a brand-name for the combination of the chemicals, dextroamphetamine and amphetamine. You may get a test that doesn't check for the amphetamines class of drugs, but chances are you will. Most companies and parole officers use at least a 5-panel test kit, which includes marijuana(THC), cocaine, benzodiazepines, and amphetamines. You can clear yourself of a failed amphetamine drug test by having a valid prescription, as Vyvanse, Concerta, Ritalin, Adderall and Desoxyn are all used for the treatment of common disorders such as AD(H)D.
Adderall will show up as methamphetamine on any type of drug test.
Desoxyn WILL show up as meth in a urine test because it is meth. Most of the drugs that throw false positives for meth are OTC preparations that contain pseudoephedrine, the drug meth is made from.
I am a Registered Nurse who works in an Emergency Department where we frequently test for illicit drugs. Urine toxicology screens discern Adderall from methamphetamines. There is a rarely used ADHD medication that would test positive as meth, but it is not Adderall.
It depends on the drug screen. If the drug screen is simply checking for "amphetamines", then meth and Adderall will both show up as amphetamines. However, many tests will distinguish between meth and amphetamines, and in this case, Adderall should test as an amphetamine while meth should test as meth.
Adderall contains various amphetamine salts, and thus it gives a positive result for amphetamine(s) (some tests group various other amphetamine drugs, ie methamphetamine together with amphetamine) on a drug test.
None. Adderall shows up on a drug test as methamphetamine (essentially no different than if you were doing meth). This is because the product contains amphetamine salts. But because amphetamines are PRESCRIPTION ONLY, you will not find them in any over the counter drugs.
Adderall belongs to the amphetamine group of drugs and willl show up on a drug test as such. The previous answer to this question incorrectly states that Adderall (dextroamphetamine and amphetamine salts) is in the same class as Ritalin (methylphenidate). This is incorrect. Their chemical properties and structures are very distinct. Adderall (Amphetamine) is almost the same drug, chemically, as Crystal Meth (methamphetamine). Methamphetamine has an additional Carbon group (Chemists call this a methyl group, hence METHamphetamine) at the terminal amine group. As a pharmacist, I am positive that because of this structural similarity, it will show up on a drug test as amphetamine. I also know there is no difference on most drug tests between methamphetamine and amphetamine. They are almost the exact same drug, except for 2 Hydrogens and a Carbon. If you read the previous answer to this, please disregard. It was grossly incorrect.
Adderall, like meth will stay in your system for three to five days
Can trazadone give a false positive urine drug screen for methamphetamine
It will show up as amphetamine or methamphetamine on a drug test . Amphetamines are testable in urine for up to 4 or 5 days .
no
Sure can. Adderall is an amphetamine. Added 9.24.10: Not necessarily. I was curious about this myself ( I work in a drug treatment program) and tested my own urine. I've been on Adderall for a while now and take it as prescribed, fearful that it would show up positive. The test strips we have test for methamphetamine, and when i tested myself, i came up negative. Adderall is an amphetamine, but it has a different chemical structure. But, this may not be true for all drug tests.
