If you are referring to State Disability, most likely not... Most California School District Employees do not pay into SDI, they pay into STRS, or PERS. These systems have built in disability benefits for permanent and long term disabilities (over 1 year) only if you are vested (5 years of service). There is nothing for short term disabilities other than your sick pay and differential (100 work days half pay after sick leave runs out).
