Concerta(Methylphenidate) is not an amphetamine, but can cause a false positive in a urine test. The US Anti-Doping agency says it tests for Concerta, which it says is banned for in-competition use, but is allowed for out-of-competition use. http://www.usantidoping.org/dro/search/status.aspx?BrandId=5190&UserTypeId=1&SportId=27&DisciplineId=-1 (I have read that the NCAA allows it during the season but not during championship tournaments or games.) So unless the Antii-Doping Agency is lying, the answer is yes, Concerta can show up on a drug test. I have not been able to determine for how long Concerta will show up, and have seen times ranging from 12 to 48 hours in blood and urine and 90 days in hair.
The question is unclear on what kind of drug test, and the USADA does not indicate whether its tests are materially different than a common employment test, for example.
