I just spoke with my doctor and they said it is fine to take DayQuil while pregnant and breastfeeding. Pretty much if you could take it while pregnant, you can take while breastfeeding is what she said..

∙ 14y agoFrom my personal history, and I am not a doctor or a nurse, the answer is no. When I was about 10 or 11 weeks pregnant, I was so sick with the flu or something close to it, I was told by my OB/GYN that I could only take Tylenol (regular strength) or a form of sudifed, which did not work and gave me nightmares and restless muscles at night.

∙ 14y agoPregnant women should always ask their doctors before using over the counter medications. Some cold medicines aren't good for the baby. Remember, they use some parts of cold medicine to make methamphetamine.
