Pop open the remote and change with a 3 volt watch battery. Then press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons while standing near the car. It takes about 10 seconds.
unhook neg battery cable then wait 10 mins for disgarge of capaciter then proceed to change ignition
with a scan tool you can take the cables off of your battery for 10 minutes and then replace them and that will reset it also
It is a bad negative battery cable or weak ground conection. I would just replace the negative battery cable. This should fix the problem.
