There's no reason why you couldn't. If the woodwork in the room you want to paint has already been stained, it will need to be sanded down, primed, and then painted, and vice versa, but you can certainly paint in one room and stain in another if that's what strikes your fancy.
New paint may or may not be wet, and if wet, may or may not stain suits, dresses, jackets, hats, shoes, headpieces, necklaces or garters among other pieces of clothing. Another consequence of new paint is that the patchy wall in the dining room may lose its patches.
remove the paint with a paint remover or sand it off then stain easier if the doors are removed if applicable. Control the humidity by installing a vent fan before the wood swells and splits. Eventually, mold will eventually take over and make the room unhealthy.
Lavender is always a great color and it looks clean. Doing an accent wall will also help give the room more definition. If you have woodwork, paint it white. It will bring out the other colors.

For Clothes You do this: Scrape away any excess paint with a dull knife or hard-bristled brush. Be careful not to damage the fabric itself.Blot the stain with a damp cloth to moisten the surface. If this releases any excess paint, scoop it up with a spoon.Pour a few drops of varnish remover onto a sponge and blot the stain to loosen the paint particles.Dab the surface with a clean, dry cloth, and then machine-wash the clothing, following the label guidelines. If that's confusing try this:Blot the stain with a wet rag if the puff paint is still wet. Blot away as much of the puff paint as possible before it dries.Spray hairspray on the puff paint if it is dried and rub the fabric together vigorously. This should start to remove some of the puff paint. Spray more hairspray and continue to rub the fabric together until the majority of the puff paint is removed. Wipe away the last remnants of puff paint with a wet rag.Apply mineral spirits to a rag and blot it on the paint-stained fabric. This is a last-resort scenario and should only be used if the stain will not budge. Be sure to use mineral spirits in a well-ventilated room and wear rubber gloves and a face mask.
