no. the ipod shuffle is one of the only ones that doesn't hold up to 1,000 songs.I don't think I know any other ipods that don't.

Your iPod is on "repeat." Turn it off at the the main menu under "settings."
Actually 7200 songs, 1GB can hold 240 and 240 x 30= 7200
