Yes they could if they wanted to. Each one is left do decide what their Bible trained conscience is comfortable with doing. If there are lyrics with obscenities or immoral activity, a JW would not have much of a desire to listen to such music. However, if you enjoy the music genre you can look for songs that are not so controversial.

Its more than screaming or grunting, the lyrics are very meaningful and the artists are really caring.
