Yes i used nyquil cold and flu i mixed it with soda and drank it im young and weigh about 120 pounds and i took about 4 and a half 30ml and before that i took two ibuprohen i dont know if that had anything to do with it

∙ 12y agoI'm not sure about dayQuil, but check the active ingredients, if you see Dextromethorphan, it will. The drug is commonly called DXM or Robo on the street and creates a high similar to being completely wasted in most people, without all the negative morning after hangover effects. BE CAREFUL though on the active ingredients you may also see Acetaminophen, DO NOT try to Robo Trip off these medications, the acetaminophen may cause you to go into anaphylactic shock, and you more likely than not will die. Your safest bet is to go get some Coricidin Cough and Cold, (the purple box) also called Skittles or Triple C's, and use that. They're about the safest form of over the counter DXM available. Hopefully that helped.

You CANNOT and MUST NOT inject "Day-Quil" pills, or any time of OTC medication like this. The suspension which holds the medications in these pills cannot be put into your veins.

I called a pharmacist this a.m. about this question - my 11 yr-old son is on keppra and developed a nasty cold. pharmacists said no drug interactions. we went to doc when son later started running fever (cold turned into sinus infection) and doc also said keppra was OK with dayquil. Not sure about NyQuil, though. they can not take NyQuil while on keppra due to drug interactions.

Funny, I stumbled upon this tonight as I was out of NyQuil so I took some DayQuil and now CANNOT sleep!! I'm soooo tired and have been tossing and turning for an hour and a half now. I finally googled DayQuil effects and while everything is saying it won't keep you awake I call BS. My symptoms are gone, so well done there, but I would give anything to be able to sleep now too!!!!!!
Can you trip on dayquil?
Yes, you can. Dextromethorphan (DXM) can cause a trip. However, certain other active ingredients in the medicine can be dangerous. i.e. phenylephrine. Check erowid.com for more info. Actually, NyQuil has phenylephrine. DayQuil does not. Though, cough syrup is a stupid way to trip regardless of adulterants. Man up and buy real drugs.

Depending on the person yes, my close friend has been sent to the hospitial regardig his blood pressure after taking an average dose of NyQuil. im not sure if it verys for each peraon or if it effects everyone though..
Can you take a Vicodin with DayQuil?
The only thing I would be concerned about is the amount of acetaminophen you are ingesting. The FDA advisory panel recently convened to consider reducing the maximum daily dose from 4,000 to 1,000 mg. Vicodin has 500mg of acetaminophen in a tablet, a dose of Dayquil has 325 mg. Just pay attention, too much acetaminophen can cause liver failure in high doses, and serious damage in lower doses. Personally I think the 1,000mg limit is too low, but I wouldn't go over 2,500mg or so.
