I have played all of the games and yes, they can have kids in sims 2 for any of the systems.
I've been looking it up A LOT unfortunately I have come across somethin... I've been abducted by aliens 3 times, no baby... "woo hoo" no baby.. "Make out" still no baby! I even tried "cuddle" nothing!!! This is not a good design that EA games decided... but in the cheaper games {OLDER ONES} just make your sims flirt and then it's say 'kiss' keep doin that and they'll ask if you want a baby. People say you can adopt a baby by rejecting that offer many times.. I did it nd after the 2nd time they stopped asking for one.. I couldn't adopt either!! but u can flirt alot then make out the receive a call to adopt one whoevr submitted this is stupid !!! i just made it a fact now!! so stop lyin!!!! jab***************
if the sims 3 comes out on gamecube I'm sure you can have babies on it
well that's not quite true. I have children on Sims 2. I was just flirting with the character bob. I proposed. Then i pressed "make out" alot, I then got a call. I don't usually answer the phone cause its usually junk. But i answered and it asked in big letters if i wanted to adopt.
oh and do u want to here the cheat for the cheat gnome??? its R,L,up,A,z. and if you do it a few times really fast i trophy with a diamond on top should appear in ur front lawn. then just look up cheats on internet. once u have activated the gnome u can enter anycheat. but it doesnt matter if you save the gnome will disapear but the things you got wont.

Ya i know it didnt work for me eaither a few times the trick is to not keep checking for the gnome. Just keep pressing the buttons faster and faster till u here your sim "sigh". then check your front lawn for a white trophy with a diamond on top. Then you can do the other cheats.
You Can have babies like the last person said if u want the cheat gnome, its no gnome at all its like a fat metal post sorta close to the mailbox ive done it in free play and story mode and if it works for me it shud work fur u the cheat is R,L,UP,A,Z do that many times until there is a post on ur sidewalk by ur house on the right or left side trust me it works u just have to do the code very fast in order for it to wurk!!!!

it has a diamond on top like the one over ur character but grey. the statue its very hard to explain its a prism sorta thing is how i explain it it looks soooo weird but its practically a post a grey post ill get a pic and add it on as soon as i can so hold on!!
