Ritalin, Strattera and Dexedrine are sometimes better medicines for ADHD and are approved by the FDA for treatment of ADHD.

If you are looking for a drug that is not a scheduled substance only Strattera (atomoxetine) and now Intuniv (guanfacine) are approved for the treatment of ADHD.
