It appears that in Oklahoma only one parent has to sign--provided of course that that parent has at least partial custody. I personally think that's a horrible law, but it is the law nevertheless, so there you go. You can call the county clerk's office to verify that info.

No. In most US states you must be at least 18 to get married without parental consent.

OpinionWhat's wrong with this 30 year old guy when he can't pick on someone his own age? Be careful! You may think you are in love with him now, but you're young and later you are going to regret marrying this man. True love can always wait, so at least wait until you are 21 and if you feel about him in the same way then get married. There is so much for you to see and do out in the world and I hope you don't tie yourself down in marriage at such a young age. Go out, have fun and date young men your own age. OpinionNot everyone puts age, fun, dating multiple people, dating people specifically your age, but being single, going out, etc as priority in life.

Some people Love. And they don't put restrictions on it. I know almost no one that dates people that's only their age. How does that make one "wrong"?

Some people Love. Some people want a monogamous relationship. And some people apparently are more mature than others at a younger age.

Good luck to anyone who wants to get married, and who challenges societal stigmas.

No, the age of consent is 18. With parental consent, parties can marry at age 16 (and younger) and, in addition, younger parties may receive a license by reason of pregnancy or the birth of a child. Common law marriage is recognized.
