No, the legal age of majority for the state is 18. Be that as it may, any minor who has been placed in foster care, group home or other facility is under the supervision of the court must be released by the court even when they have reached the state's age of majority.

Yes.

yes,a 17 year old can quit school in virgina without parents consent. No matter if it high school, home school,or GED you can quit.your parents might see it differently, but they can not fight the laws in Virginia,if they try to fight it,the law would be in your favor not your parents.the state and the national school system consider you as an adult anyway at that age.......recent retired family law attorney of 24 years.

Yes! You can leave your family at any age but since your still young it is best if you stay with your family until you are old enough to get married

You could file for emancipation.

Emancipation of minors is a legal mechanism by which a child is freed from control by their parent(s)/guardian(s), and the parent(s)/guardian(s) is/are freed from any and all responsibility toward the child.
