Depending on what type of modifications you are willing to make and your fabricating/mechanical skills, yes. Most 1968 GM trucks came with coil springs, trailing arms, and a panhard bar. You would have to remove the leaf spring perches from the 1977 rear, and determine the location of the ANGLED perches for the trailing arms. You would also have to fabricate a bracket for the panhard bar that attaches to the passenger side of the center of the housing. Your wheels would have to be changed as the 68' has 6-lug and the 77' has 5-lug. The 77 is slightly wider as well, you would have to measure to make sure the wheels you use will fit.

If you are installing the 77' rear in a 68' truck with leaf springs, I'm pretty sure its almost a bolt-in deal other than the change in bolt pattern on the wheels.
