Can a Seventh-day Adventist be a Freemason?

[Edit]

Answer

Yes

Freemasons only requires you believe in God.

I am afraid the answer is an absolute no. Freemasonry is considered a secret society and Seventh Day Adventists are encouraged to not be members of secret organizations. Adventist feel that Freemasonry contains oaths and promises that are considered an abomination to basic Biblical beliefs.

Again another answer: The SDA church does NOT have any strict official beliefs on this subject. Freemasonry is, however, a varied subject. The ORGIANAL Freemasons, were, indeed, a secret orginization, and yes, they contained many oaths and dedication to them. However, in modern times there are many unofficial Freemason variation that have differant beliefs. Original Freemason beliefs are not well known, nor complete, as they were a very secret orginization
