Generally VCR's are digital electronic items. Some manufacturers add digital tuners(digital tuning radios) to their products as a extra option. VCRs work fine without digital tuner and its handy for you with a digital tuner than an analog.
This is where, with the additional of an `digital to analog TV converter box' could come in handy.
Yes, I think the VCR will also have a analog outputavailable along with the HD output. providing of course the TV has a VIDEO IN connector.
You'll need a VCR that already has a tuner (pref digital tuner in case your without cable) The VCR can select a channel and give an output on its RCA connectors, you can record using the VCR as a tuner. Pete
No, the tuner in the VCR will be the same as the tuner in the TV set and will need to be upgraded with a converter box. Keep in mind that the quality of the picture from a box is poor.
The modern VCR / DVD recorder does not work like the old VCRs. The switch to OTA digital TV has made the tuner less useful and was deleted from most device. VCR / DVD are now used to transfer the data to DVD . You could however attach cables fron an exernal digital tuner/ or cable box/ satellite into the VCR/DVD with the input line to record. (RCA / HDMI/ composite)
the Panasonic DMR-EZ48VP-K
The samsung V9800 unfortunately doesn't come with a digital tuner, but your TV may have one in it.
The Panasonic DVD recorder/VCR combo unfortunately doesn't come with a digital tuner. It must be purchased seperately.
The Magnavox Digital DTV Converter Box with Analog Pass-Through will allow you to digitally convert and still use your VCR.
It would be illegal to sell a VCR without a digital tuner now.So if you buy a VCR with a tuner it should be digital. If it's not you should take it back.
Hi !This only applies assuming that this is a cable/antenna tuner not a HD or digital signal .What you'll need to do is find a free input on your tv such as input 1 , 2 , 3 etc . Connect the vcr to the free input using the ouput on the vcr .Then you will hook up your cable/antenna hookup into your vcr's INPUT or LINE IN whatever they call it . Turn on vcr and tv . Be sure to put tv on proper input which would be what ever free input you decided on for the vcr . Then you'll need to turn your vcr to the tuner input . Sometimes you have to press the input button to get there . From that point you will use the vcr remote to change channels .
It means that you have a VCR. VCRs do not have tuners.
DVD VCR Combo connected to HD TV cant pick up digital TV. For it to work it has to be connected to a tuner which is purchased.
Yes you can You can if you have another device that has a digital tuner plus the ability to convert digital to analoge, such as a set-top box, digital to analoge convert for over the air TV signals, and a DVD disk recorder with a built-in digital tuner.
