Can a child in Illinois drop out of school with parental consent at age 16?

[Edit]

Answer

I'm not sure what Illinois laws are on that, but I'm pretty sure the answer is no. Furthermore, if you did try to drop out then your parents would suffer the consequences just as much as you. In some states you are allowed to take your GED at age 17, that's what you should do, now days you can't even get a job without a high school diploma or a GED. Think of your future before doing something you'll regret.
