No. Convicted felons may join the military (in limited cases), however only after the completion of their sentence and they have been released from custody. Parole is still a form of custody, and the sentence is not complete until the parolee is discharged.
At the present time, the US Army is desperate for new recruits, and does accept people with criminal records, although this could vary depending upon the severity of the crime. But I would say that your chances are good. Go for it.
Although it is at least theoretically possible to get waivered in with a felony conviction on your record, the probability of it happening is slim to none. All the same, it never hurts to simply talk to a recruiter, explain your situation, and see what they tell you.
