The answer is YES! There is many software to use with a webcam as a security camera. Altough it is quite simple to install, it's not really discrete. Depends on what you want to do with the cam. Remember to check for the quality you require. Some webcams are not that efficient on getting clear images. There is some good softwares or freewares to try, but generally you have to buy them after a certain time for under 100$. Try inserting "Webcam monitoring" in Google, and you will have a good overview of the softwares available.
It depends on the manufacturer and the software you have on your 'puter. I have a digi camera that doubles quite nicely as a webcam, but another that wouldn't do it. Try and see. If not, webcams are cheap enough these days.
Yes you can. Digital still cameras usually create a 'live' picture ready for when you press the button to take the picture. They usually come with a suite of software to exploit that function - and Windows will normally be able to utilize one as a web-cam.
To use the camera you need software too use it. If you search your computer you will probably find some crapware webcam photo taker. If not download some webcam software that can take pictures, like Google's Picassa.
If I'm not wrong its not possible for your phone. You need a phone with a Symbian OS 9.1/above. Get a Nokia (Probably Nseries) and buy Mobiola Webcam. It uses your phone back/front camera to use as the webcam. It can reach up to 5.0 megapixels.
yes they do work, but you need the installation disc which as far as I'm aware - nobody has
nope u cannot if you can it will be much slower and will open your computer to virus such as limewire pro ect..
To take photos, record video and video-call your friends. Also, some web cameras come with a programme which can see when something is moving, it records it (for safety, when you're not home).
no

You can use a Kodak easy sara IS digital camera as a webcam only if it does not have automatic closing lens.

yes there is but you have to download it from the android market. and you use the webcam with your regular camera
Any ipod but only if it has a camera and a webcam app
A person might use a live webcam at home as a working, cheaper solution to buying a security camera. They can also watch live interactions in the house such as their kids coming home from school.
Webcam simply stands for "Web camera" - a special type of camera specifically for use on the Internet. The term "netcam" would probably be more logical, but webcam it is.
You need a Webcam to use Skype. Not a Original Camera!
um... i hopee
The manual does not describe any way to use the camera as a webcam.
