Answer: From what I understand A giraffe cannot run down hill because the way the animals weight is distributed (much heavier in the front than back) it would topple over. Giraffes will actually (again this is from my understanting) walk for miles around a hill just to avoid the otherwise, inevitable fall down it. Though giraffes have the same number of vertabre in there neck as humans (7) the neck is not the same proportionally in relation to its build as that of a human. Tha anatomy of the animal must be taken into consideration.
