Can a kid levitate?

Answer:
It depends on what you call "levitation".

There are places that will allow you to hover in the wind of a propeller. Like a parachutist, kind of, but without actual falling.

There are aircraft called "vomit comets" which give the appearance of levitating, by falling at the same speed you do, for a brief time.

I take it you mean, though, can you do it by mind power. No, you can't. No one can, in real life. What would be between you and the ground? What would be pushing down to hold you up?

Small objects made of ferrous materials can be "hovered" magnetically. Usually they will need to spin, to stay stable. But if a magnet is hovering over a supercooled superconductor, it can just hang there.

On Mythbusters they once showed a very flimsy foil shape, which was "levitated" by charging it with electricity, causing it to emit jets of warmed air, just barely enough to get the foil gizmo in the air.
