Stage Magicians
No, magicians have to practice a lot, or their audiences will see how the trick is done. Some people may have a natural aptitude for the sort of slight of hand involved and find it easier than others do, but that doesn't mean they can do every trick perfectly the first time.
If you mean "real magicians"... they don't exist.
A Pagan Perspective
Contrary to the above, there are thousands of practitioners of magic in this world.
Most of us use spells, potions, elixirs, and/or rituals in our practice.
Although there are many practitioners who have their roots in Family traditions, there are a large number of people who have "found" magic in much more recently.
Most, if not all of the people I know who are currently ethical, experienced and powerful practitioners of magic have some form or other of training/study under their belts.
It is that experience that enables them to at need, work their magic with few tools or ingredients, and very little advanced preparation.
After all, magic is simply put, the manipulation of naturally occurring powers by the hand and will of an ethical practitioner to manifest change in the fabric of reality.
something that is unknown

I think you mean "Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed", "Masters of Illusion" is a different show on MyNetworkTV. Anyway, throughout the series there have been 3 different magicians revealing the tricks. The magician in the 1997-1998 series was Val Valentino. The magician in the 2002 renewal is unknown and there are a lot of speculations that the magician in the 2008-2009 series is Val Valentino, although he was credited as the producer.
