I have heard that it is best to have it removed. My doctor told me it might cause problems with natural birth and also, chances of getting pregnant is lower, or might take longer, because of the blockage... I just went through the removal process which included a minor surgery. It is under general anesthesia, but that's good because you won't remember anything at all. It is a day surgery, and you will feel a bit pain and discomfort after the surgery. My doctor gave me strong pain killers, but I really didn't need them, so I didn't take any and just stook with Motrin or Tylenol. It will take about 6 weeks to heal, but I think it's completely worth the worries...
Helpful hymen informationInformation about hymens and microperforate hymens go to http://www.youngwomenshealth.org/hymen.HTMLThe hymen doesn't increase in size after childbirth. During vaginal childbirth the hymen is often torn.
nothing to tell, sounds like, you are every mans dream, very tight! make sure they make you feel good first (make them gravel) and it shouldn't too bad!
You can still get pregnant without your hymen being broken. The hymen is just a piece of skin - it doesn't prevent pregnancy
A girl cannot get pregnant if the hymen is still intact. Penetration and ejaculation have to occur for pregnancy. A girl cannot get pregnant by sitting on a toilet seat or bathing in a tub.
One really has nothing to do with the other. If your vaginal opening is small regardless of having no blood appear when your hymen originally broke, you may still have to have an episiotomy.
The hymen does not cover the entrance completely so if semen comes on it or inside you can get pregnant.
Nope not at all. The hymen is only a remain from the time in the womb and has no effect on the body, broken or otherwise.
The hymen can be ruptured as a result of any sort of penetration:Internal menstrual products: tampons, menstrual cups, softcups, etc.Vaginal examination: PAP smear, swabs, pelvic examination, etc.Masturbation using fingers or sex toys inside the vagina.Sex including fingering, sex toys, or a penis.Typically the hymen doesn't cover much of the vaginal opening and is flexible so will allow vaginal penetration without rupturing, often it will only rupture if penetration is forced or rough. The hymen can also be cut surgically by a doctor, or the hymen may stay in tact right through until childbirth.
Deflowering refers to the hymen being torn - tampons at any age shouldn't tear the hymen. The hymen doesn't cover much of the vaginal opening and the hymen is flexible so it can stretch to accommodate things being inserted vaginally, as long as insertion isn't rough or the tampon isn't forced through the hymen it shouldn't tear. The hymen cannot be torn from things such as running or acrobatics, it can only be torn via vaginal penetration or childbirth, the hymen can no more tear from activity than any other tissue in your body.
The hymen, assuming you were born with one or it has not broken yet, will not protect you from anything. It's just a remnant from the time in the womb. If you have had intercourse you risk pregnancy as well if the sperm have somehow ended up inside you by fingers for example.
There is no cherry to pop and if you refer to your hymen it can in no way protect you from pregnancy. The risk for pregnancy is just as big whether it's your first or 250th time you have unprotected sex.
Unless she was made pregnant by IVF, her hymen would have to have been broken to become pregnant in the first place. How can you still be a virgin if you are pregnant? Think it through.
