if the ball is tipped or touched by any person why the ball is in midair, then the shooter can regain controll of the ball.

if the ball was just thrown into the air and the shooter touches it, then it would be considered traveling.

Can you rebound your own air ball?  How high must a 6 jump to touch rim?  How do you help a person in a rebound?  What is the probability of shooting a person in the balls?  Does the ball have to hit the rim in order for you to touch it again?  Can you get your own rebound if the ball doesn't touch the rim or backboard?  If a play makes a legitimate shot that does not hit the rim or backboard can he be the first to touch the ball you are not talking about an obvious self pass?  When you shoot the ball at the basket and miss everything rim backboard isn't it true you can't be the first one to touch the ball?
