Can a police officer train your dog to bite?

The average police officer that drives down the street every once in a while cannot. However the police officer that works with K9 can. It's most likely that they can and will not though for safety reasons and other reasons. However I am sure you can try to research it online if you need to. I am sure it is hard and will hurt if you are not careful.

Why do you want your dog trained to bite? That is some serious stuff and unless you have your dog under complete control, could cause some serious problems along the way & someone may end up being injured. You should first of all take your dog to a good obedience class (can locate them through your local Animal Shelter or ask your Veterinarian). You also need to know if your dog has the correct temperament to do this. Shutzhund is a good training method but hard to find the training classes. It teaches complete control with a protection dog. Very few police departments use this way anymore and it is a shame as all you see is a completely out of control dog barking his head off & when let off lead, just attacks the arms where the sleeve was located which they train with. With Shutzhund they MUST learn complete obedience & be under CONTROL at all times, then Tracking and then Protection. It is a truly beautiful site to see these dogs work after trained. There are different levels of Shutzhund that a dog can earn, Shutzhund 1, Shutzhund II & Shutzhund III. Your dog has to pass a temperament test first before he can even be entered into these classes. If your dog is too shy, it could seriously damage your dog's mental status or if too aggressive the same results. You MUST have a stable (in mind and body) dog to start with. Don't forget you need to be trained too! Go to obedience classes first. Use a 6 foot lead and a choke chain. Measure your dog's neck and add on another 2 inches to get the correct size choke chain.
