Can a seventeen year old move out without parents' permission if they are still in high school but being home schooled?

[Edit]

in some states, yes you can. but since you are homeschooled why not wait and graduate?

Answer

You're not being homeschooled any more if you move out of your parents' house. You could try to become legally emancipated but you may be in a Catch 22 since having graduated high school is generally considered a requirement for it. Perhaps you should insist on going to a formal high school. If your parents won't let you contact the counselor at the school and they may be able to help.
