It's not worth a risk. Even if the child is mature at the age of 10 and could handle themselves alone, theress always a risk of emergency, Like Fires, Burglary and Injury. If you weren't there to protect your child at such a young age, it could make them feel they have to grow up faster. You might think that Nobody would know or find out but as i said It's totally not worth the risk in terms of Safety.

no way, i stayed home every nite since i was eight and its not a crime anyway. No. I have two children the exact same age. As long as they know where you are, what time you will be home, and how to get in touch with you.

Technically, yes or a fine (that is only if you get caught.)

He/She is a minor, and that is punishable by law.

If they are mature enough, let them.

Make sure they stay quiet, and make sure they don't invite people over while you're gone or tell people they are alone.

Nobody will know the difference.

Don't worry about it.
