Recoilis minimal in a rifle, so the 44 specials are very enjoyable to file. My friends 9 year old, slightly built sin shoots these out of a Super Blackhawk (handgun), and I have a hard time making him stop.
The only real problem you could experience is a potential double feed, which would tie up the gun. I experience this in my rifle if I use bullets with a short nose. Round nose factory loads feed great.
Be sure to clean the chamber well to avoid sticky extraction with the magnum loads.
