Too many steps and little things you should know. Spend $10 and buy a repair manual for your car at any auto Parts Store. You have two choices, Hayne's or Chilton's. A rookie can do this with the proper guidance. Get the manual and go for it.

answer to remove thermostat dump coolant from engine remove top radiator hose from where it attaches to engine remove fitting,generally 2 or 3 bolts, where radiator hose attached this is called thermostat housing u will then see thermostat take notice of how the thermostat is seated as sometimes they can be installed upside down, upside down will not work correctly so then install proper temp new thermostat and new gasket reinstall thermostat housing' reattach radiator hose. refill engine and radiator with coolant start engine ,check for leaks if no leaks, job well done is easier than it sounds
