Can an intelligent guy like an unintelligent girl and can a unintelligent girl like an intelligent guy?In: Teen Dating |

Answer
Yes, if both are of good character. Generally those that feel they are highly intelligent and have to talk about it are not only a pain in one's rear, but generally that person isn't as intelligent as they may think they are. To look down on others as who is more intelligent than the other is a Mexican stand-off and here is why:
- A person may be lucky enough to have a higher education than another and be intelligent in a certain field they studied for. However, the other person may have had a mediocer education could have a thirst for knowledge and be a great book reader (Marilyne Monroe was considered a 'dumb blond' but was actually a person who loved to read and learn and was intelligent.) Looks can be deceiving.
- Some people are intelligent about many things they have learned in life (farmer, rancher, mechanic, waitress, etc.) against a college graduate and although they may have a poor education they can certainly teach a thing or two to so called highly intelligent individuals.
- There is street smarts intelligence where the person can work their way around rough neighborhoods and survive whereas a person from a better neighborhood with a good education wouldn't last until the next day. So, who is the intelligent one here?
Not all people are lucky enough to have a high education. Instead of worrying about who is the most intelligent in dating wouldn't it be best to date someone you thought was loving and kind and gently teach them things about life through your own eyes and make it part of theirs instead of making them feel useless and ignorant.
All of us are actually learning from each person we come in contact with and learn from the news, and being aware of what is going on in this world and even though opinions may vary on certain subjects it doesn't make a person unintelligent. As long as a person has a thirst for knowledge then they are a 'keeper!'
