I would recommend buying a larger vehicles, such as an full-size SUV, crossover, or minivan. Any sedan on the market will press the outer children closer to the edge of the car, not to mention the hassle of managing a child in a car seat jammed between two others. I have a seven-passenger Isuzu Ascender that gets nearly 20 MPG with careful driving and easily holds two child seats along with up to four adults.
You often times can fit up to three car seats in the back of an Escalade. Be careful though, as larger car seats may not be able to be fitted in the back in groups of three.
long as there are 3 seatbelts...yes

to within three either way, there are 128 seats on the Concord.
One can have two captain's chairs in the second row allowing access through the middle. Or one can get a bench seat, which folds up to access row three. The bench seats three (or three bulky convertible infant/child seats. The seats are interchangeable. WHen I contacted the dealer back in '04 he told me they were not interchangeable (as did Buick), but that is simply not true. I went to the dealer "test drove" a Rondy home with a bench seat & proved to myself they could be easily switched with my captain's chairs. I now have both seats, but am selling the bench on EBay as we got a larger SUV & hub is driving the Rondy. lymbo4y@yahoo.com

Their are three seats per spaceship, and there are three spaceships together. So, 3x3=9.
Older cars had seating for three in the front in the form of a bench seat. I cannot think of a specific car that had three single seats in the front.
The 2004/05 Prius has plenty of room in the back seat for two child seats as will as some space between them for a very, very small size adult. On the back of rear seats are hooks/latch for anchoring the top back of the child seats to the auto seat. All three back seats have lap and shoulder belts. I easily fit 4 teen girls and allll their school gear, plus mine, in my Prius hatchback. No problems seeing out the back window. The Prius has more cargo room than my BMW530i. Also the Prius has lots of smaller storage compartments in the front seat in the console and the glove box area.

New York lost three seats after the 1990 census.
