From what I understand, the first scene is taking place 12,000 years before The Doctor and Amy are shown 'keeping track of the score' in the museum. For some reason, River Song kissed the man (seen at the beginning of the episode) with hallucinogenic lipstick. She is the one wearing the black cape, black sunglasses, and enormously large high heeled shoes. River goes to Alistair's vault (Alistair is the guy who does not show firearms) and etches in the box 'old high Gallifreyan' to attract The Doctor's attention -- hence The Doctor telling Amy that the translation on the home box of Category 4 Starliner is "Hello, Sweetie." The Doctor steals the home box from the museum and tries to get the security playback working. The 'triple seven 5 slash three four nine by ten slash zero twelve slash acorn' (a.k.a. 7775 / 349x10 / 012 / acorn) is the coordinates of which Song can be picked up by The Doctor.
