Can beef be refrozen if it has been frozen then thawed? |
[Edit] |
[Edit]
If you thaw meat that was frozen, you can not re-freeze it without cooking it first.
The above answer is absolutely correct in general, however it is considered acceptable to refreeze meats (poultry, beef, fish) as long as the meat was defrosted in the refrigerator. ie. Not out on the counter all day, or thawed by using warm water.
