Yes, brother and sister gerbils will mate once sexual maturity hits. However, inbreeding causes birth defects such as fixed wrists and kinked tails that make it near impossible to rehome any pups that may result.

You should not mate brothers and sisters because birth affects. It also can be bad if mother/son mate or father/daughter. Most of there young will likely die. They can and will mate but i do not advise it.

Yes they do white zebra finches are just a mutation of the regular brown finches reason they are white is because of the recessive traits from the birds mother and father,in other words they would both have to be white.but yes they will...

Inbreeding is possible for any species, Humans, feline, Geckos. If mating between the same bloodline takes place, there will be a higher chance of physical deformaties. Such as: extra toes, missing eye lids, pupil deformaty. In most cases when in the embreyo, a gecko will not fully develope.

They can, but they shouldn't. Mating with close relatives is called inbreeding, and often results in defects.
