"Conception" means you're pregnant. Do you mean day of ovulation?
Actually, some women (myself included) may have cramps after intercourse. This usually only happens between the time you ovulate and your period starts (so, if you have a 28 day cycle, post-coital cramps will occur between days 14 and 28 of your cycle). I remember I got these terrible cramps after having sex, and I thought the same thing. But I did a bit of Googling, and it turns out post-coital cramps happen to a few women.
Cramps usually happen after sex because sex and orgasm can cause uterine contractions.

∙ 12y agoit may be your period if you get them all the time for a few years or over 9 months youre not pregant. if you just started to get them i would go to the doctors and get a pregnancy test.

one week after conception there usually isn't much for pregnancy hormone in your system to cause pregnancy symptoms, though it's possible. if your period is late then I recommed taking a home pregnancy test. ~pawsalmighty I had plenty of symptoms after one week, it is possible, the ClearBlue pregnancy test detects HCG the earliest, I wold take one now and see if you see a very faint blue line???
