Can dogs eat lemon

Dogs can eat just about any fruit/vegetable period. They cannot eat onions or raw garlic, however. Keep those away from dogs. Also, the only concern with fruits is that you should eliminate the possibility of seed consumption (minus pumpkin seeds- the seeds are actually very good for them!). Most seeds are poisonous. Dogs can eat the flesh of just about any fruit.

My dog loves apple slices, pumpkin (the flesh, the icky stuff inside), pumpkin seeds, broccoli, carrots, seedless grapes, green beans, beets...and frozen veggies or fruits are a great summertime treat for them! It keeps their digestive tract healthy, gives them nutrients, and a couple pieces of broccoli and they'll no longer be constipated. =)

It certainly will not kill them; Not unless you feed them the seeds or give them an onion to chew on (once again: ONIONS and RAW GARLIC ARE HIGHLY POISONOUS AND DEADLY TO DOGS).

*One thing that I would like add that is incorrect is that Raisins and Grapes are not good for dogs. They have been proved to cause kidney failure, so I would stay away from them. Best bet would be to check with your vet before feeding them.

***also APPLE SEEDS can kill them. Garlic in moderation will not harm them. There is garlic in some dog treats.

Also no mushrooms (or fungus of any kind)

Actually... My vet told me onions are fine, garlic is a natural antibiotic, and IS in many of the antibiotics that they choose to give dogs that are targeted to the more natural way of animal drugs it is also in many of their treats as well as many of the natural based foods. The only thing with an onion that they cannot have is the core, everything else is perfectly fine! grapes with seeds are bad for them, seedless grapes are okay, Mushrooms it depends on the breed really, mine eat spaghetti sauce which has mushroom bits in it, all of my dogs over the years have been allowed that when we have left over sauce, nothing has ever happened to them. When it comes to the food you feed your pet, take caution and try not to give them too many human foods, where as it might not be bad for them, if they have lived off of their dry dog food most of their lives it could give them gas, or digestive problems temporarily. If you want to give them a natural healthy diet, stick with the natural based food products for dogs, there are many companies that make it. Nothing is processed in those foods like the other brands usually are. Think about it, wild dogs are scavengers, they eat raw meat, and raw vegetables. Our pets descend from those dogs, even dogs that are of the same breed as the ones we own that are wild scavenge for food. It all depends on the dog. If you are truly worried about it contact your vet.

It depends on the dog's preference. I don't think a lemon is bad for a dog, but I doubt most dog's would prefer to eat lemons. On a side note, my dog used to eat carrots!
