Most animal nutritionalists and experts who advise on home cooked or raw diets, and some recommend certain fruit and veg, Pears are extremly good for dogs hearts, but they cannot eat the pips or core as the seeds contain cyanide, same as apple seeds. Dogs bodies cannot digest fruit and veg same way as we do, so it is best to boil all veg in small amount of water (organic better) and cooled before feeding. (I blend 1 carrot, i stick celery small handful spinach, quarter a pear and feed it in his food over 2 days) My dog has home cooked food, home made kibble, home made treats. I alternate veg, tonight he had cooked carrot, celery, spinach and pear all pureed, and plain boiled chicken and brown rice.

Dogs should not eat; chocolate, macadamia nuts, onions, raisins or grapes, any type caffeine, avocado, alcohol, garlic, too much fish, Oranges, fat trimmings (dogs need high protein meat all fat cut off) sugary foods, salty foods and mushrooms. The first 8 foods are the most dangerous...

I wouldn't give my dog much frozen veg, as like normal veg it is full of chemicals and been sprayed, its proven dogs on home raw food live much longer, I choose all the best anti cancer, anti tumor, vitamin rich LEAN protein high foods for my dog.

Yes, dogs can eat pear. However, some dogs' stomach's may not digest it very well. I would suggest starting out giving your dog small pieces to see if there are any adverse reactions. Pears are not poisonous though.
