Can dogs have a marshmallow?

In: Dogs

Answer

Dogs just love human food. Monkey see, monkey do. A little bit of a marshmallow won't hurt your dog, but why start bad habits. Instead give your dog one of their own treats (they will probably turn their nose up at it) but too bad. LOL Some meats such as small bits of beef, lean lamb, hamburger (lean) and chicken (no bones) can be given to your dog or a little piece of cheese. Also veggies such as carrots, peas, boiled barley, rice are also good for your dog. Remember, when you're snacking and your dog is begging 'too much of anything is good for nothing.' Train the dog to lay down and quit bothering you. If you don't and have guests over this can be a very annoying habit. I have two dogs and although they get some treats at dinner (a piece of meat or carrots or peas) this is given in their food bowl and not of our plates. We feed our dogs before we eat and then tell the dogs to go to their cushion while we eat.
