Yes. The combination of (usually) significant oil and high fibre can do this. Any more than 1/4 to 1/2 cup of any kind of nuts, or trail mix with combined dried fruit and nuts, and most of my family could count on noticing the effects the next day.
It does limit enjoyment of nuts, for those of us sensitive without actually being allergic...but the upside of this is that they taste better than laxatives, when needed.
Absolutely. Almond butter looks the same way going in as it does going out. It's just the right combination of oils and fiber to give you a great cleansing if you need one. Just stay close to the bathroom and don't trust a fart! :)

I am not a doctor so consider the source. But just about anything with fat can cause diarrhea. Nuts have a lot of oil in them. It seems to me it would take a lot of nuts to cause this but I'm just giving my 3 cents' worth.

Certain nuts do cause constipation. Macadamia nuts for example have been shown to cause constipation, but as far as constipating foods go, nuts aren't the worst. You should be absolutely fine eating nuts.
