Although in theory it is possible for everyone to get all kinds of body piercings done, practically it seldom happens so. Not everyone is built in the same way and have different body structures. Thus, you could say that not all people are anatomically built to get every kind of piercing.
You may not have enough bodily tissue in certain areas of your body so as to make a piercing viable. If any piercing is carried out in an area where there is not adequate tissue, the piercing is likely to be unsuccessful. Even if the piercer manages to carry out the piercing, there is every chance that it will be rejected by your body (your body will push it out because of lack of supporting tissue).
Not just your anatomy, but your daily routine and lifestyle may also prohibit you from having certain types of piercings. For instance, if you are an athlete or a sports person who undertakes heavy physical activity all day long, there may be certain areas on your body which may not lend themselves to being pierced or which may take a very long time to heal if pierced. Thus, in such a situation, you will not be able to get every type of body piercing done.
A qualified and skilled body piercer will immediately be able to tell whether or not a particular piercing is for you or should be avoided.

Most peircings can be performed on many people but it depends on the type of body you have and the peircing you want. If you have certain health problems then it may not be recommended to get certain peircings. It also depends on if you have had this peircing before and if it was in the same spot. Peircings during pregnancy is not a good idea. You more apt to get an infection and from personal experiance, when I was pregnant for my son Zacheriah, they told me to take out my peircing because of something to do with the metal.
