Can hamsters menstruate?

[Edit]

Answer

No! Animals do not menstrate. If you notice any vaginal bleeding with your female hampster, then take her to the vet! Something is wrong.

This answer is incorrect; animals do menstruate. However, if your hamster is bleeding, plus has other symptoms, such as excessive drinking, loss of appetite, lethargic, then the hamster is not menstruating, but needs to be seen by a vet.
